Eight Week Session - $96
Known as yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra is a 5000 year old practice that takes in svasana--full, supine posture on the floor. Through guided meditation called consciousness rotation and guided imagery, students may leave waking consciousness but remain fully awake. It is an extremely relaxing state in which long held patterns of attachment and aversion may begin to shift and let go. It's a practice that taps the homunculus-- "the little man" in the brain, often helping to connect mind and body in subtle, profound ways. Great for people struggling with sleep, stress and calming the mind.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga for Women Series
Instructor Beth Jones
Thursdays 5:30-6:15 pm
June 6 - August 1 (no class on July 4)
Eight Week Series: $125, includes Trauma Sensitive yoga DVD for home practice.
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY) uses traditional yoga in a specific way to help students living with the debilitating effects of trauma and PTSD become aware of the body and perhaps, begin to befriend the body. Students must be referred by their therapists or should contact Beth directly to see if this class is appropriate for them in their healing work. Though TSY is not yoga therapy and Beth is not a therapist, she is a yoga teacher who offers a body-based approach that is intended to complement a student's work with a therapist.
