Mama Sutra cover September 2018 400x600

Join us to discuss yoga philosophy, poetry or modern perspectives on ancient texts!
Our next book club will be on Sunday, June 30 at 2:30 - 3:30 pm. We serve tea! All are welcome.

We will be reading the Mama Sutra by Anne Cushman. A few copies are available in the SSY store.

“In this beautifully written and self-revealing book, Anne Cushman shows us how motherhood carries us into the heart of the spiritual journey. The key is realizing that the messy imperfect moments are not a problem, they are the very grounds of the path. Please gift yourself and others with The Mama Sutra—it’s deeply engaging and fresh, poignant, and wise.” Tara Brach, author of True Refuge

Reiki translates as spirit energy, you can think of it as universal energy. The Reiki process is light hands-on healing technique as developed by Dr. Mikao Usui. The energy generated in the process can be used to harmonize and balance the body and mind of oneself and others.

If you are a bodyworker, yoga teachers, caregiver, doctor, nurse, acupuncturist, anyone in the healing arts.... the people you serve can benefit tremendously by adding reiki to your skill set.
