Being mindful in relationship, as couple, mother/child, and in community brings presence, happiness, and wisdom. Joy, aliveness, and connection in everyday ordinary life are the side effects of practicing Mindfulness.
Nancy Hathaway returns to School Street Yoga. This course allows beginners to develop a meditation practice or advanced practitioners to deepen theirs.
A commitment is needed for all six evenings and the afternoon of silent meditation. This course is a shortened version, based on the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) method developed by Jon Kabat Zinn, this course allows beginners to develop a meditation practice or advanced practitioners to deepen theirs.
(Past MBSR participants welcome to drop-in on the Afternoon of Mindfulness on 2/1, for a small fee)
Continuing Education Credits of 16 contact hours approved by the University of Maine are available for a $60 fee.
Enrollment limited to 12. Pre-registration is required.

Nancy Hathaway began her Buddhist studies in 1974 sitting a one month meditation retreat in Kopan Monastery, a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal. Since that time, she has studied extensively with Asian and Western teachers in the Zen, Theravada, and Tibetan traditions.
