A Day to Exhale:
A Full-Day Retreat with Hilery Hutchinson

Sunday, September 13  9:30 am – 5:30 pm

You may know you need rest and still find that your body does not know how to stop holding everything together. Even when the calendar clears, part of you may remain on duty, planning, anticipating, caring for others, or quietly preparing for whatever comes next. You can take a day off without ever fully feeling off.

A Day to Exhale is a full-day retreat for people who have been carrying too much for too long and need more than another class, appointment, or a rushed attempt at self-care.

Together, we will explore how stress, responsibility, and life experience can become patterns of bracing in the body. Rather than treating those patterns as something to fix, we will meet them with curiosity and give the body a different experience: support, spaciousness, choice, and time.

Through nervous system education, gentle movement, restorative yoga, guided relaxation, breathwork, reflection, and practical self-care, you will be invited to notice where you have been holding and what helps you soften without forcing anything.

This is not a day of pushing toward a breakthrough. It is a day to step out of the role of holding everything together and allow yourself to be supported.

This retreat may be for you if:

🫶🏼 You are the person others rely on and rarely have a full day where nothing is being asked of you.
🫶🏼 You feel tired but have difficulty settling, even when you finally have time to rest.
🫶🏼 Your jaw, shoulders, breath, belly, or whole body seem to remain subtly braced.
🫶🏼 You have been moving through stress, grief, caregiving, change, or emotional exhaustion.
🫶🏼 You understand many of your patterns intellectually but want to experience healing through the body rather than gathering more information.
🫶🏼 You are longing to reconnect with yourself before reaching complete depletion. You do not need to be in crisis to come. You may simply recognize that the way you have been carrying life is no longer sustainable.

The day will include:

👉🏼 An accessible workshop on how the body learns to brace, guard, and remain prepared
👉🏼 Gentle embodied practices to help you recognize your own patterns
👉🏼 Restorative yoga and guided relaxation
👉🏼 Nourishing space for lunch, tea, reflection, and connection
👉🏼 Practical self-care tools that can fit into real life
👉🏼 A guided breathwork journey for deeper embodied awareness and emotional movement
👉🏼 Time for rest and integration
👉🏼 A closing exploration of Awaken the Healer Within

“Awaken the Healer Within” does not mean that you have to heal alone. It is an invitation to remember that your body already communicates, adapts, and carries wisdom. Support can help you hear that wisdom more clearly, but the deepest authority remains within you.

What you may leave with:

Not a long list of practices to perform perfectly. Instead, you may leave with a clearer understanding of how your body communicates stress, an experience of what supported softening feels like, and a few simple ways to return to yourself before the pressure becomes overwhelming.

Most of all, this day offers permission to receive. To rest without earning it. To soften without explaining yourself. To remember that care does not always have to begin after everything falls apart.

Please bring a journal, a pen, comfortable layers, and anything that helps you feel supported during rest.

No previous experience with yoga or breathwork is required. Every practice will include options, and you are welcome to pause, modify, or rest at any time.

Because the breathwork portion may be physically and emotionally activating, please share relevant health considerations when registering so we can help you determine whether the practice is appropriate or should be adapted.

Investment: $125/attendee. Space will be limited to preserve a personal, spacious experience. Advance registration is encouraged.
